Fees

Ranges

Most speaker sites make you book a discovery call to learn whether they are even in your budget. That wastes your time and ours, so the numbers are below.

Virtual keynote

$5,000 – $8,000

Built for the format, not a webcam pointed at a stage talk. Same preparation as in person, shorter run time, no travel.

In-person keynote

$10,000 – $15,000

Plus travel from Katy, Texas. Includes discovery, customization, materials and time with attendees after the session.

Half-day workshop

$10,000 – $14,000

Three to four hours of working session. Includes a participant survey, tailored materials and a written summary for leadership.

Full-day training

$12,000 – $15,000

A working day that ends with something built. Materials, exercises and follow-up summary included.

Keynote + next-day workshop

$15,000

The pairing most organizations book. The keynote creates alignment; the workshop turns it into a plan with names on it.

Board or executive session

$6,000 – $10,000

Closed-door session for boards and leadership teams on oversight, risk and where to start.

Multi-week cohort

Quoted per engagement

Scoped to participant count, number of sessions and deliverables.

Nonprofit and education

From $2,500

Reduced rate for registered nonprofits and educational institutions, plus four pro bono engagements reserved each year.

These are 2026 rates. Final fee depends on location, audience size, preparation required and whether recording rights are included. Virtual sessions are priced against the same preparation as in-person work, since only the travel is saved. You will get a specific number in the first reply, and travel is quoted as a flat buyout alongside the fee rather than itemized after the fact.

The Process

What Happens
After You Inquire

No mystery, no chasing. Here is the whole sequence from your first message to the day after the event.

01

You send the details

Date, audience, format and what you need the room to do differently. Two minutes on the booking form.

02

You get a real answer

Availability and a fee range in the first reply, within one business day. Not "let's schedule a call to discuss investment."

03

Hold placed

Once terms are agreed in principle, your date goes on a 14-day courtesy hold while your committee approves. No deposit required to hold it.

04

Discovery call

Thirty minutes with you and, where possible, three or four people who will be in the audience. This is where the talk gets built, and it is what makes the difference on stage.

05

Agreement and promotion

Contract, then bio, headshots, session description and a recorded promo clip for your marketing. Sent inside 48 hours, without being chased.

06

Tailored outline

You see the outline before the event, with your organization's language and examples in it. Changes welcome.

07

On site, early

Trent arrives the night before for anything outside driving distance, tests AV in the morning, and stays after the session for the hallway conversations.

08

The follow-up

A written summary for your leadership within a week, plus the materials and any resources promised from stage. Delivered without a reminder.

Included

What The
Fee Covers

Preparation is the majority of the work. The hour on stage is the visible part.

  • Discovery call with you and, where possible, three or four audience members
  • Content tailored to your sector and your organization's language
  • Bio, headshots, session description and promo clip for your marketing
  • Outline shared in advance for your review
  • Arrival the day before for travel engagements
  • Time after the session for questions and hallway conversations
  • A written follow-up summary for leadership within a week
  • Direct access to Trent throughout, not an assistant or a bureau
Formats

Ways To
Use Him

Many events book a keynote for the main stage and a workshop the following morning for the leadership team. The keynote creates the alignment; the workshop turns it into a plan with names attached.

Keynote

40 to 60 minutes, main stage. Original research, live demonstration and a close that gives the room something to do Monday morning.

Workshop

Half day to multi-week cohort. Participants work on their own problems and leave with something built, not just notes.

Fireside Chat

Moderated conversation for leadership audiences, investor events and association meetings. Prepared, not scripted.

Panel & Moderation

Trent moderates AI panels and sits on them. He keeps panels specific and stops them drifting into abstraction.

Virtual

Built for the format rather than a webcam pointed at a keynote. Interactive, with live work and a shorter run time.

Board Education

Closed-door sessions for boards and investment committees on oversight, risk and disclosure.

Technical
Requirements

Send this to your AV team. Trent travels from Katy, Texas and arrives the day before for anything outside driving distance.

Ask your AV question
  • Wireless lavalier or over-ear microphone preferred; handheld works for panels
  • Confidence monitor at the front of stage if available
  • HDMI for a personal laptop; slides run 16:9
  • Venue wifi for live demonstrations, with an offline fallback always prepared
  • Room to move; Trent does not speak from behind a lectern
  • Recording permitted with prior written agreement
From Organizers

What They Say
Afterward

He did not sell us anything. He told our leadership team which two of our six AI ideas were worth funding and why the other four would waste a year. That saved us more than the engagement cost.

[Name][Title][Organization]

Our staff walked in nervous about being replaced and walked out with a list of things they wanted to stop doing. I have never seen a room turn like that.

[Name][Title][Organization]

We are a nine-person nonprofit. He met us where we were, gave us three things to do, and checked in after. Nobody does that.

Questions

Asked Before
Every Event

01

How far out do you book?

Two to six months out for in-person dates. Trent runs an operating company, so he takes a limited number of engagements each quarter, and September through November and February through April fill first. Virtual sessions can often be arranged on a few weeks notice.

02

What am I actually paying for?

Preparation, mostly. Every engagement includes a discovery call, interviews with audience members where possible, and a talk rebuilt around your organization. You are also booking someone who is shipping AI systems the same week he speaks to you, so the examples are current rather than recycled from a conference circuit.

03

Do you customize, or is it the same talk?

Every engagement includes a discovery call, interviews with audience members where possible, and a tailored outline you see two weeks out. Roughly a third of Trent's talks are built new for a specific audience. Nobody gets a stock deck.

04

Can we record it?

Yes, with a written agreement covering internal use, included at no additional cost. Public distribution and rebroadcast rights are a separate line, and usually a straightforward one.

05

What about travel?

Travel is billed as a flat buyout quoted alongside your fee, so there are no receipts to reconcile afterward. Trent travels from Katy, Texas and arrives the night before for anything outside driving distance.

06

Will the live demo work?

Live demonstrations are prepared with a full offline fallback. Trent has never had a session derailed by venue wifi and does not intend to start.

07

Do you offer nonprofit rates?

Yes. Registered nonprofits and educational institutions are quoted from $15,000, and Trent reserves four fully pro bono engagements each year for small organizations. Say so in your message. There is no application process.

08

Do you work with speaker bureaus?

Yes. Standard bureau commission applies and is quoted into the fee. Booking direct is equally welcome, and Trent handles his own correspondence either way.

09

Is the fee negotiable?

The range is the range, but there is flexibility in how an engagement is built. Multiple sessions on one trip, a virtual format, or a date in a slower month all change the number. Say what your budget is and you will get a straight answer about what fits.

10

What if we need to move the date?

Terms are in the agreement and they are reasonable. Date changes within the same calendar year are accommodated wherever the schedule allows, without penalty.
